In what follows, Kay Ellen courageously tells of the abuse she experienced from her former pastor, Duane Yoder, and of the ways her communities of faith failed to hold him accountable. As you will learn from reading her own words, Kay has chosen to share her account publicly in order to help prevent this same harm from being perpetrated against others and to let those who have already been similarly harmed know they are not alone. Abuse thrives in secrecy and loses power in the light of transparency.
